Days to maturity are approximates and actual maturity time may be more or less depending on a number of environmental factors.


Aji Cristal

C. Baccatum. Plants produce good yields of 3" long thin-fleshed fruits that mature from a pale green to red. Pendant shaped pods are moderately pungent and best enjoyed slightly before maturity. Approx. 90 days.

Aji Habanero

C. Baccutum. Tall, vigorous plants produce an abundance of bright orange, Habanero-like fruits. However, peppers have little or no heat but are full of flavor. Approx. 90 days.

Bishop's Crown

C. Annuum. Bushy plants produce moderately pungent fruits that look very similar to a Bishop's crown. Highly prolific. Approx 100 days.

Cayenne, Long Slim

C. Annuum. Plants produce large clusters of long, narrow hot fruits. Commonly used as an all-purpose seasoning. Approx 90 days.

Chilitepin

C. Annuum. The original 'Bird' pepper. Tiny, 1/2" fruits pack quite a punch, rated at well over 100,000 Scovilles. Plants grow wild in parts of the sourthern United States and in Mexico. Germination and maturity will take longer than for other varieties. Approx. 125 days.

Chinchi Uchu

C. Baccatum. A prolific ornamental variety producing small fruits that ripen to a bright red. Don't let their appearance fool you; these fruits have little to no pungency and are actually quite sweet. Approx. 95 days.

Chocolate Habanero

C. Chinese. A dark, chocolate-brown variation of the classic Habanero. Hotter than your average Habanero, this pepper is ideal for seasoning and making hot sauce. Approx. 110 days.

Fatalii, Yellow

C. Chinese. Prolific bushy plants produce good yields of pointed, pendant fruits that ripen to bright yellow-orange. Among the hottest varieties in the world, the Fatalii surpasses any Habanero as far as heat level is concerned. Fruits actually have a slight citrus flavor which can be enjoyed before the heat sets in. Approx 115 days.

Fish Pepper

C. Annuum. Moderately hot, red pendant pods are popular for seasoning fish. An early and highly prolific variety. Approx 75 days.

Fluorescent

C. Annuum. A dwarf ornamental variety suitable for growing in containers. Plants produce tiny 3/4" purple fruits that ripen to red that are quite hot. Approx. 90 days.

Gold Bell Pepper

C. Annuum. Golden-yellow variation of the classic Bell pepper. Bushy plants produce good yields of large, sweet fruits. Approx. 100 days.

Hot Lemon

C. Baccatum. Plants produce heavy yields of long, narrow fruits that ripen to a bright lemon-yellow. Fruits are hot as any Cayenne and have a slight citrus flavor. Approx. 100 days.

Jalapeno

C. Annuum. The classic moderately hot chile; very popular for seasoning and spicy dishes. Fruits are ovular, pointed and thick-walled. Highly prolific. Approx 90 days.

Jamaica Hot Red

C. Chinese. Compact, heavily foliated produce an abundance of spicy, thin-skinned squash peppers excellent for fresh eating. Also good for pickling and garnish. Approx 95 days.

Jamaica Hot Chocolate

C. Chinese. Large, dark brown shiny Habanero-type peppers have an extremely hot Caribbean flavor; strong and smoky. Makes a great hot sauce. Approx 90 days.

Marbles

C. Annuum. An ornamental variety that bears a profusion of marble-sized fruit that start out with a cream color, ripening to yellow and finally to red. Plants are compact and become densely covered in colorful fruits and are quite decorative. Approx 75 days.

Manzano Habanero

C. Chinese. Vigorous plants, which can become quite tall, produce an abundance of extremely hot, orange Habanero-like fruit. Unique cold-hardy variety, hardy to several degrees below freezing. Approx. 110 days.

Medusa

C. Annuum. Compact dwarf plants become covered with amazing display of ivory, yellow, orange and red 2.5" long upright peppers. This look is reminiscent to the mythological character Medusa. Makes a wonderful ornamental; fruits are non-pungent. Approx 80 days.

NuMex Big Jim

C. Annuum. The largest of the NuMex varieties. Pods grow up to 12" long and weigh as much as 4 oz and moderately pungent. Plants are able to set fruit even under hot, dry conditions. Approx. 80 days.

Orange Habanero

C. Chinese. A blistering hot pepper, more than 40x hotter than the Jalapeno. Fruits are 1" long and about 1.5" wide, slightly wrinkled with a tapered end. Fruits start green and ripen to orange. Expect large harvests form highly prolific plants. Approx. 100 days.

Peter Pepper

C. Annuum. Plants produce an abundance of very hot and unusually shaped ornamental peppers. Excellent for salsa or drying and grinding into powder. Approx. 95 days.

Poblano

C. Annuum. The fruit of this variety matures from dark green to brown. The fruits are called Poblano when fresh, Ancho when dried. 5" long, tapered pods are mildly pungent and great for salsas. Approx. 80 days.

Pretty Purple Pepper

C. Annuum. The foliage of this plants turns from green to a dark purple. Plants become covered in small, purple and extremely-hot fruits that ripen to a bright red. Approx. 90 days.

Purple Cayenne

C. Annuum. Dark purple variation of the classic Cayenne. Long, narrow fruits mature from dark purple to red and are very hot. Approx. 80 days.

Purple Jalapeno

C. Annuum. Purple variation of the classic Jalapeno pepper. Fruits start out purple and ripen to a bright red. Same fiery heat and thick walls. Great for salsas. Approx. 85 days.

Purple Tiger

C. Annuum. Bushy plants produce an abundance of 1" long, hot ovular fruits, maturing from purple to red. Very attractive ornamental. Approx. 90 days.

Red Bell Pepper

C. Annuum. Expect good yields of large, red bell-shaped fruits on bushy plants. Sweet fruits have good texture and are great for slicing and fresh eating. Approx. 95 days.

Red Toro Sweet Pepper

C. Annuum. Vigorous plants produce and abundance of 6-8" long red pods. Fruits have little or no pungency and best enjoyed fresh or pickled. Approx. 90 days.

Rocoto, Red

C. Pubescens. Extremely hot small red pepper, originally from Peru and Bolivia. Plants have dark green, hairy leaves and can grow quite tall, producing abundant harvests. Approx. 110 days.

Serrano

C. Annuum. 2-3" long candle-flame chiles are borne in profusion of tall, well-branched plants. Fruits mature from green to red and great for salsa. Approx. 80 days.

Sweet Banana

C. Annuum. Productive plants produce and abundance of long, yellow banana-shaped fruits. An ideal all-purpose variety; good for fresh eating, pickling, stir-fry and more. Approx. 80 days.
